The trek start at Sangay Gang, an area brimmed with hundreds of colorful prayer flags to bless our trek. The trek to Phajoding includes gentle slopes through thick blue pine forest. We cross a monastery, Chhokhortse Gompa (3010 m) and slowly descend slightly steep slopes towards Motithang.
